Hello there, I'm Lucie. I'm the MD of Maschinenraum GmbH, a daughter-company of the Viessmann Group. We operate a platform and Berlin-based campus, on a mission to facilitate collaboration between deep tech startups and the German industrial Mittelstand.
I graduated from Sciences Po Lille in 2011, with a double-Masters in Applied Economics & International Relations. Fascinated by the role of public policy in fostering innovation, I started my career at the public agency Paris Region Entreprises, where I advised foreign high-tech companies seeking R&D partnerships with French research labs and academia. I moved to Berlin in 2013, curious about the blooming startup scene and eager to work in a more international environment. Since then I held a variety of roles building tech communities: as freelance event manager, as first employee of the startup coworking space Rainmaking Loft (since then rebranded as The Place) and as Head of Community of Germany's largest startup campus Factory Berlin. I took on my current role at Viessmann in 2017, combining my experiences creating supportive environments for entrepreneurs with my passion for encouraging tech-driven partnerships.
A community builder at heart, I am a big believer in giving first - therefore I gladly mentor at startup accelerators SAP.iO Foundry and Techstars, as well as in the peer-to-peer mentorship program Ampair.io.
I also like to share views and experiences during talks or panel discussions, on topics related to community building, creating diverse & inclusive workplaces, or empowering female leadership.
I’m always glad to connect and see if/where I can help - if you read until here and would like to chat, feel free to reach out!
